1.
Programs for Finite Element Analysis of 2-D structures
like frames, trusses and beams.
(Tools: MATLAB, C++)
Description:
This
is an open source developed in C++ as well as MATLAB for
finite element analysis of 1-D structures. A matrix class has
been developed to facilitate the generation and assembly of
stiffness matrices. This package could be used and reproduced
for academic as well as development purpose.
|
|
|
2.
Material management system for a construction
firm.
(Tools:Oracle, VB)
Description:
A
package to solve various material management issues at a
construction site. This system takes care of complete cycle of
Materials used at the construction site from the stage of
generation of purchase requisition till its consumption at the
site. Extension of the project for incorporating other aspects
related to construction as well as to make it a internet based
application to take care of remote sites is
underway.

|
3.
Development of
a DXF Interpreter Tool to facilitate inter-platform
portability of AUTOCAD drawings.
(Tools: VC++, VB)
Description:
This
Tool was developed under guidance of Prof. A.K Mittal (Asst.
Professor, Civil Engg. Dept ,IIT, Delhi) as a module of a
Water Distribution Network Design software(being Developed at
civil engg.dept,IITD).The purpose of the software was to
enable import of drawings drawn in AUTOCAD to the above
mentioned design software.

|
4.
Response
generator for Linear Single degree of freedom system.
(Tools :C, VB)
Description:
This
application is a nice tool to study the behavior of linear (SDOF)
system. The application is capable of graphical representation
of behavior of system under any kind of loading including
Earthquake loading. Further attempts are on to extend this
system for showing the behavior of Multi degree of freedom
system. The system in present state is a nice tool for the
learners of Dynamics of structures to understand the system
well.

5.
A comparative study on Analysis & Design results of
different softwares.
(Tools :
Staad.Pro,Ansys,SAP2000 )
Description:
An existing
multi-storied building has been taken for a case study.
Project involves modeling analysis and design of this building
manually and on three softwares Staad.Pro,Ansys &
SAP2000. The results of the softwares will be critically
analyzed and various shortcomings and good features of the
softwares will be done. Building will also be analyzed and
designed for seismic forces.
|
|
6.
Development of modules for analysis of various 2D and 3D
structural elements using direct stiffness method and FEM.
(Tools : C++,
VC++ )
Description:
Different software
modules are being developed for various 2D and 3D structural
elements as a part of ongoing course on Finite Element Method.
These modules are either the implementation of Matlab routines
written during last semester in C++. Stress is being given to
develop programs able of solving generic kinds of problems.
These modules will be later integrated and added with user
friendly GUI to give the shape of a full-fledged software.
