Summary
|
|
Dipti is a graduate in Computer Scince Engineering and is presently in doing her Master’s in Information Technology in Building Science from IIIT, Hyderabad. IT in Building Science is all about combining traditional materials with advanced methods, using computer aided techniques for intelligent controls, meeting stiff design targets, and ensuring excellent performance of the building over its entire lifecycle, taking into consideration factors like wind, noise, solar energy, pollutants and occupancy.

|
|
1. |
Porting GCC for M16 Processor
[Sponsored by KPIT Cummins, Pune.]
Integration of M16C processor into the GCC system and configuring
GCC so that it accepts input in the form of C language and produces
M16C assembly listing.
Technologies Used: GNU / Linux, C, RTL (Register Transfer language), QT
|
|
|
|
2. |
Development
of WEBY framework
[Developed for Embedded Computing
Machine, Pune] The WEBY framework is Ethernet
enabled embedded system, intended for use as a secure and rugged
single board computer. The framework may be dropped into any
existing network and can be configured and controlled using a
network enabled PC with a web browser.
Technologies Used: nutOS, C |
|
|
|
3. |
Monitoring of Distribution transformers
using cellular communication technology
[Sponsored by Central
power research institute, Bangalore]
To investigate the use of cellular
technology for real time monitoring of Distribution Transformers (DT).
Using DS89C450 processor the values of different parameters of DT are
being read via meter connected to DT and these values are sent to server
using GSM network. At server the graph of all parameters is plotted.
Alarms are generated if any value exceeds threshold value. Technologies Used: Linux, MySQL, C , Qt,
Web interface using Python and AJAX
|
|
|
|
4. |
Mobile Phone as Universal Remote
Controller To provide a home automation system with
aid of a mobile phone which controls different devices such as light,
fan, TV, door lock. Bluetooth communication between mobile phone and PC
where PC acts as a gateway.
Technologies Used: Symbian C++
using series 60 SDK, Lab VIEW |
|
|
|
5. |
Virtual machine for NECV850 To
simulate the output of NECV850 for different programs by implenting
instructions supported by NECV850.
Technologies Used: C |
|
|
|
6. |
Power point controller for mobile
phone To control the power point running on a computer using
mobile phone as remote control. Technologies Used: Symbian C++
using series 60 SDK, Lab VIEW |
|
|
|
7. |
Simulation of “Simultaneous
localization and mapping for single robot” To build a map
using a robot by obstacle detection. Technologies Used:
QT |
|
|
|
8. |
Voice Driven Electric Switching
System To develop Neural Network based “Voice driven
Electric Switching” system which would recognize the speech signals from
at least two people and perform at least 10 different actions depending
upon the commands given such as ‘lights ON’, ‘head illumination’, ‘front
illumination’, ‘back illumination’ etc. Technologies Used:
MATLAB |
|
|
|
9. |
Assembler and preprocessor for 8086
Microprocessor To generate the object code for a given program
written in assembly language using 8086 architecture an assembler and
preprocessor has been developed. Technologies Used: C |
|
|
|
10. |
Examination management system
[Developed
for Instrumentation science department, University of pune, Pune] To
maintain the record of students name, name of courses, marks obtain and
to generate the result sheet for each student an Examination management
system was developed. Technologies Used: VB,MsAccess |

Multiple
films based daylight control system for energy saving and comfort :
The objective of multiple film based
daylight control system is to provide cheap and cost-effective solution
for smart fenestration systems which not only provides dynamic sunlight
control with glare reduction but synchronously provides energy and
daylight savings and can be implemented on persisting fenestration
installations.
